SendSteed Update – Geo targeting in broadcast

This is a function request from our fellow member, Bill.

Here’s Bill’s request,

I would like to have the ability to broadcast only to those in the US geo region, or possibly another geo region.

This is indeed a useful function that has been overlooked. But now it is ready.

How To Select Geo Location?

First, please understand that Geo Targeting is only available in Email Broadcast.

It is not available in Email Series (most likely will never be available due to the complexity in implementation.)

To create a broadcast for certain geo locations, please follow the following steps:

1. Go to broadcast and click ‘Add a new broadcast‘.

2. Set up the email as usual, then scroll down to ‘Audience‘, click ‘Active, geo target‘.

3. Select the regions you want to target. (You can select by country or by continent.)

Below is a demo of the 3 steps explained above:

If you promote a program that is only available in certain parts of the world, this function will be useful to you.

I hope you’ll find this function useful.

Let me know what you think in the comments below.

  1. Very nice! I have some capture pages in Spanish and Russian and this will be very useful! πŸ‘

      1. Zone is by continent. That’s the most unobjectionable classification. There is no way we can classify zone by language speaking, not to mention deciding what language to classify. Zone should be a good starting point to help you shortlist the locations you want to target.

  2. An Awesome addition! It will be nice to NOT have to put something on my email that says “available only in the USA!”

Thank you for this awesome LeadsLeap update as we know that LeadsLeap ROCKS!

    1. Thanks πŸ‘ Kenneth,

Very useful thought, hope to succeed with leadsleap. Awesome πŸ‘ thanks.

      1. Amy, you’ve just joined today. This update makes no sense to you because you haven’t attempted to create a list, not to mention creating a broadcast.

Don’t read this blog now. Read our tutorial.

Our tutorial gives you the step by step of doing everything you want to do, starting from the basic.

After you know the basic, then this blog update will make sense to you.

    1. Yes.

If you have other questions unrelated to this update, please contact our support directly.

  3. I appreciate the encouragement to move forward with an Email Broadcast. The Tutorial is

very helpful. There is one item that I need immediate help with. Here is my question: How

do I submit my info on which LIST we are wanting to include in our Email Broadcast?

    1. Generally, my feel is everything you need to set up for a broadcast is in the broadcast editor.

If it is not, please open a support ticket, with the Broadcast ID, so that I can see what you are trying to do and advise you accordingly.
