Page Builder Update – AutoShift

*Updated on 17 August 2025

If you’ve ever used our Page Builder, you may have run into this pain:

You want to add some text, or make an image or video bigger, and you’re stuck manually dragging and repositioning every element below it.

Sure, we have the “Group Move” function, but when there are dozens of elements involved, it’s still a pain.

See the demo below to see what we mean:

It’s frustrating, time-consuming, and error-prone.

Finally we got the fix. We call it AutoShift.

Introducing AutoShift

AutoShift is a smart feature that automatically repositions the elements below a block whenever that block’s height changes โ€” whether it grows or shrinks.

Instead of shuffling everything manually, AutoShift calculates the difference in height and adjusts the positions of all affected elements to maintain perfect spacing.

By default, it will only works during Text editing. See demo below.

Autoshift can also work when adjusting the height of any element. See demo below.

Important Change Effective 17 August 2025

Before 17 August, AutoShift was enabled by default for all element height changes.

Based on user feedback, AutoShift will now be off by default for element height changes.

This change helps prevent unintended shifting of elements.

Hereโ€™s a summary of the default settings:

Text editing = AutoShift is on, unless turned off

Height resizing = AutoShift if off, unless turned on

How to Turn AutoShift On/Off

To turn on/off AutoShift, just check/uncheck the “AutoShift” toggle on the left side of the Page Builder.

See the demo below:

Manual Resize Without Turning AutoShift On/Off

To make things even more convenient, here’s a simple tip:

Resizing from the top handle = AutoShift will not happen (even if AutoShift is turned on)

Resizing from the bottom handle = AutoShift will happen (provided AutoShift is turned on)

This way, you don’t have to constantly toggle AutoShift on and off.

Just choose the resize handle based on whether you want the layout to shift.

See the demo below:

Small Feature, Big Impact

AutoShift is a small but powerful feature that can dramatically improve your editing experience.

Once you get used to it, you’ll wonder how you ever worked without it.

Give it a try today. Let us know what you think in the comments below.

    1. Hello. Yeah I guess this kind of editing can be a pain. I’m sure the latest technology can assist with these issues.

  1. I have been waiting for an improvement in this area. It indeed is an awesome upgrade. I’m still in the learning process on the LeadsLeap platform and enjoying every many of it. Thanks A Bunch!

  2. Great feature! It should also prevent the page width from changing when you add a text or image that goes outside of the border. I have to constantly restore the page width to keep everything centered. I like it!

    1. Hi Frank, the page width shouldn’t auto change when you add text or image that goes outside of the border. Please contact our support if that is what you are experiencing.

  3. Great, this saves a lot of time!

Thanks to whoever suggested this. I have been wanting this for a while and should have brought it up myself! ๐Ÿ™„

    Thanks Ken!

  4. This is an excellent update and will save not only time but a bit of frustration when working on pages!

  5. “Wow, I had no idea the resize handle position made such a difference! This is a game-changerโ€”no more constantly toggling AutoShift on and off. Super handy tip, especially for fine-tuning layouts quickly. Thanks for the clear demo!”
