Thanks to the valuable feedback from our members, we’ve made several important updates to SendSteed’s advanced features over the past two weeks.
Please note that these are advanced functions. If you’re not using them yet, you might not fully understand the changes. Feel free to skip this update for now. When you’re ready to explore these features, simply refer to the tutorials, which are always kept up to date.
Here are the updates:
1) “Opt Out From These Lists After Subscribing To This List” – Now Works With All Switch Methods

Before:
This option only worked when a subscriber opted in to the list directly.
Now:
It also works when subscribers are moved to the list via:
- Switch List On Email Open
- Switch List On First Link Click
- Switch List After Completing an Email Series
- Manual Transfer
Why The Change?
This update makes it easier to consolidate your active subscribers into a single list by automatically removing them from others when they switch over.
2) Welcome Email on “Switch List On First Link Click”

Before:
You couldn’t send a welcome email when someone clicked a link and was switched to another list.
Now:
You can trigger a welcome email by setting the Email Series Start Day to 0 in the target list.
Why The Change?
This provides immediate confirmation to your subscriber that they’ve been moved, improving transparency and user experience.
Important Note
This only applies to “Switch List On First Link Click.” You still cannot send a welcome email when switching via:
- Switch List On Email Open
- Switch List After Completing an Email Series
- Manual Transfer
This is because these methods are considered passive or non-consensual in the eyes of the subscriber. Sending a welcome message in such cases might lead to confusion and distrust.
3) New Option: Disable Email Header on Individual Emails
This is a new feature.
When creating an Email Episode or Broadcast, you’ll now see a new option:
“Show Email Header In This Email?”

Just like the “Show Email Signature In This Email?” option, you can now choose whether to include the default email header.
Why this is useful:
Let’s say you’re broadcasting to multiple lists, and each list has its own unique header design.
For this email broadcast, you may not want any email header to be shown, or you may prefer to use a standardized email header.
In this case, you can disable the Email Header and include a unique header design within the email itself.
That way, all emails will have the same header, regardless of which list they are sent to.
As Always…
Thank you for your continued feedback.
We may not have it all perfect, but we’re always listening and improving.

This is an amazing update for me!
I will surely explore it.
This is very useful; I can now create a cross-promotion based on subscribers’ activity. Nice!
I hope that we can see a social proof notification function next. The one that can pop up, a recent visitor came from [country], or [first name] recently subscribed to something like that. 😁
Amazing and thank you so much!!
