My experience with the program so far

I started using HitsConnect.com a few months ago while building traffic campaigns across multiple traffic exchanges, viral mailers, and other low-cost advertising platforms. I was looking for a link tracker that could handle the chaotic nature of these sources—think frame-breaking ads, inconsistent URLs, and very little data clarity.

HitsConnect delivered exactly what I needed. It's super focused on tracking the kind of traffic we usually get in the online affiliate marketing space. I was able to create custom rotators, filter out bots, and get clear stats on which sources were actually bringing clicks—not just impressions. The setup was intuitive, and after testing several campaigns, I could finally see which mailers and exchanges were worth my time.

What I Like

  • Made for our kind of traffic. Most trackers are built for paid ads on Google or Facebook. HitsConnect is designed for free or low-cost traffic sources like mailers and exchanges.
  • Simple but powerful interface. It's easy to use without needing a manual, but you still get IP tracking, device info, geo-location, and more.
  • Rotator feature. You can rotate multiple offers under one link, which is perfect for co-op advertising or testing funnels.
  • Reliable stats. It tracks unique versus raw clicks, shows source IDs, and helps identify junk traffic.

What I Dislike

  • The free version is limited. You'll probably want to upgrade if you're running multiple campaigns—it's worth it, but still something to consider.
  • No built-in conversion tracking. It shows you where the click came from, but you'll have to get creative to track leads or sales unless your funnel platform has integrations.
  • The UI feels a bit dated. It works fine, but visually, it could use a refresh to match modern platforms.

Final Verdict

If you're promoting on traffic exchanges, viral mailers, safelists, or even banner/PTC sites, HitsConnect.com is one of the best tracking tools you can use. It's tailored for the kind of chaotic, volume-heavy, low-cost traffic that other trackers tend to ignore. While it's not a full-blown conversion optimizer like ClickMagick, it absolutely shines in helping you make sense of your free traffic efforts.

Highly recommended for anyone using non-traditional traffic sources.
