EBesucher is one of the largest and most active autosurfs in the world. It is based in Germany, and the name derives from the German word Besucher, which means guest or visitor in English translation. So the name can be thought of as "electronic visitor". Indeed, that is what happens. By viewing the web sites of other members, they will in turn view your web sites.

The surfbar works in any browser, so there is no need to install programs or have a browser compatible with a special extension. Additionally, it isn't even necessary to log in to eBesucher. Each user gets a special surfing URL, and loading that URL in any browser will start the surfbar which will automatically earn credits for you. The websites of other members are shown one after the other. You can leave them running while you do other things or watch them to see if anything interesting comes up.

eBesucher has a bid system, in which you can decide how many credits to offer for each 15 seconds spent on your sites. In eBesucher, the credits are called BTP. Higher bids mean you will have a better chance that the next view will be of your website, but on the other hand your BTP will burn off faster. I have been using a bid of 3 BTP and have found that works well.

When you set up your web sites, you can geotarget them to get hits only from certain countries, as well as filtering on operating systems and browser types of the visitors. You can also choose time of day and day of week on which your sites will be displayed. The duration of the visits you get can be set in 15 second increments, from a low of 15 seconds up to 10 minutes.

Another feature allows you to show several of your pages in sequence. This way you can group a number of ads related to a single product, or play out a "story" like the panels of a comic book or manga.

There is also a click-to-view area, where you can choose a topic, such as "Animals and Pets" or "Shopping and Commerce". You are then presented with lists of member pages under that topic, and can earn credits by clicking to view them.

Besides the autosurf, eBesucher has a mail system, something like solo ads. You can view mails to earn mail points, which can be spent by sending out your own mails. I haven't used the mail system yet myself, having focused on the autosurf.

It is also possible to directly earn Euros from eBesucher by converting your BTP. The conversion rate is variable, at the moment of writing being EUR 2.10 for 100000 BTP. Considering that a single browser running the surfbar all day will generate a couple thousand BTP, this option won't make a lot of money. However, it is possible to run the surfbar as many times as you like on different IP addresses. So if you have cheap access to a bulk amount of computers with distinct IP addresses, you may be able to make a few Euros a day.

One restriction to be aware of is that eBesucher monitors the bandwidth of the surfbar, and if it is too low will block it. For a single computer running just eBesucher this will not present a problem. However, if you want to run many eBesucher instances you may find their bandwidth adding up enough to bump into this limit. Another case of hitting the limit could be trying to run a couple of dozen different autosurfs over the same ADSL line. They may well generate enough traffic so that the bandwidth share going to eBesucher falls below the limit. I have run afoul of this a couple of times.

As autosurfs go, eBesucher doesn't generate a particularly high rate of traffic, and the bid system takes a bit of trial and error to find the optimal level. Yet the very large user base makes for a lot of unique hits. I think eBesucher is a great choice for filling the "unique visits" producer role in any autosurf toolkit.
