One such request came from our fellow member Marian, who asked:

“Is there any other way except ‘Follower Message’ to contact my direct referrals and encourage them to upgrade? I can give them share codes for capture pages, email swipes, etc….. if they upgrade.”

This is a great question and highlights the importance of tailored messaging for your direct referrals.

Some Background About Our Follower Message System

For the benefit of newcomers, let me take a moment to explain how our Follower Message System works.

LeadsLeap is not just a marketing system; it’s also a 10-level network builder. With any network-building system, it’s crucial to have a way to connect with your downline or followers.

But how to connect is a BIG challenge.

Direct email? If we allow direct emails, your inbox will be flooded with emails from other members.

Private message board? We used to have one, but it became a spam zone, so we had to ditch it.

Timeline message system? Similar to what Facebook offers, but it comes with its own set of challenges, including spam and the need for frequent updates.

To solve this problem, we introduced the Follower Message System. In this system, uplines can set up a Message, which will be shown in their downlines’ daily email and member area. Followers can earn credits viewing the message.

Key benefits of this system:

Unobtrusive: No annoying emails or popups.

No email flooding: No constant email bombardment.

Frequent visibility: Your followers sees the message daily in their email and member area.

Set-and-forget: You don’t have to update the message daily; it stays visible for up to 6 months.

Previously, the system allowed only one follower message for all 10 levels of followers, including your direct referral.

But Marian is right. Direct referral should have a more personalized and dedicated message.

Introducing the Dedicated Follower Message for Direct Referrals

To address this need, you can now create two separate messages in your Follower Message.

One for your direct referrals (see arrow 1), and the other for your followers at levels 2 to 10 (see arrow 2).

Difference between Direct Referrals and Followers at Levels 2 to 10

Direct Referrals (Level 1 Followers)

These are people who signed up directly under you.

You earn commissions when they upgrade.

You can craft a message specifically for them, encouraging them to upgrade their account by offering an incentive (such as exclusive tips, bonus resources, or guidance on maximizing their membership benefits).

Followers at Levels 2 to 10

These are followers who joined through your referrals, extending down multiple levels.

You do not earn commissions when they upgrade.

Since they may not have a direct connection with you, a more general message works better. You can provide helpful content, updates, or encourage them to take action (such as join a program or subscribing to your list).

By customizing your messages for both your direct referrals and the rest of your followers, you can ensure that your communication is relevant, engaging, and motivating.

As a LeadsLeap member, you may find yourself asking how best to connect with your direct referrals, especially when you’re trying to encourage them to upgrade their accounts.
