{"id":1611,"date":"2023-03-21T12:24:46","date_gmt":"2023-03-21T04:24:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/leadsleap.com\/blog\/?p=1611"},"modified":"2023-03-21T12:24:47","modified_gmt":"2023-03-21T04:24:47","slug":"sendsteed-update-switch-list-automatically","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/leadsleap.com\/blog\/sendsteed-update-switch-list-automatically\/","title":{"rendered":"SendSteed Update &#8211; Switch List Automatically"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A function that several members have been asking is&#8230; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A way to automatically move subscribers to another List after completing the Email Series in the existing list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This function is now available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>How It Works?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Let&#8217;s say you have 2 Lists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>List A has 18 days of emails in its Email Series; List B has 100 days of emails in its Email Series .<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After your subscribers in List A have completed 18 days of emails, on the 19th day, you want to move the subscribers to List B, and start them on Day 3 of the 100-day Email Series in List B.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here&#8217;s how to do it&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1) Set up an Email Episode for Day 19<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"753\" height=\"313\" src=\"https:\/\/leadsleap.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/switch1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1612\" srcset=\"https:\/\/leadsleap.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/switch1.jpg 753w, https:\/\/leadsleap.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/switch1-300x125.jpg 300w, https:\/\/leadsleap.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/switch1-750x313.jpg 750w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 753px) 100vw, 753px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>2) Under the <strong>Action<\/strong> option, select &#8216;<strong>Switch list<\/strong>&#8216;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then you&#8217;ll see the form below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"755\" height=\"466\" src=\"https:\/\/leadsleap.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/switch2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1613\" srcset=\"https:\/\/leadsleap.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/switch2.jpg 755w, https:\/\/leadsleap.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/switch2-300x185.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 755px) 100vw, 755px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In arrow 1, select the List to switch to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In arrow 2, enter 3 (because in the above example, we want to start the subscribers on Day 3 of the Email Series in the new List).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Click <strong>Save Changes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That&#8217;s all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On day 19, the subscriber will be moved to List B and receive Day 3 of the Email Series in List B, followed by Day 4 the next day and on and on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Possible Q&amp;A<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>After the switch, will the Subscriber exist in both list?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No. The Subscriber will be deleted from the old list and will only exist in the new list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>What if the Subscriber already exists in the new list?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Subscriber will still be deleted from the old list, but the Subscriber will start receiving Email Series from the new list based on your specified start day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Can I switch list through a link clicked by the subscriber?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This function is not yet available. Today&#8217;s update only allows you to switch list through Email Series.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Can I switch list manually?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yes. This option is already available. It is not a new function.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Click the edit icon next to a subscriber. You&#8217;ll see an option to &#8216;<strong>Move This Subscriber To Another List<\/strong>&#8216;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"855\" height=\"336\" src=\"https:\/\/leadsleap.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/switch3-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1617\" srcset=\"https:\/\/leadsleap.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/switch3-1.jpg 855w, https:\/\/leadsleap.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/switch3-1-300x118.jpg 300w, https:\/\/leadsleap.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/switch3-1-768x302.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 855px) 100vw, 855px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Will Share Code import the switch list setting?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yes, but the &#8216;switch to&#8217; List will be the List ID you have set. It will not work in other people&#8217;s account. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the absence of a valid List, the email series will just stop at the previous day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The receiver of your Share Code will have to update the List ID manually. You can simplify the process by setting up a Replacer. (You can learn more about Share Code Replacer <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/leadsleap.com\/blog\/new-feature-share-code-replacer-and-share-code-2-0\/\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>A Word Of Advice<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Automation is always a GIGO (garbage in, garbage out) system.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Avoid doing complicated automation or you may risk confusing yourself and your subscribers.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A function that several members have been asking is&#8230; A way to automatically move subscribers to another List after completing the Email Series in the existing list.
